About the CCMT

Title

The Cambridgeshire Churches Media Trust is an ecumenical group with the following aims:

  • To support and encourage Christians working in the media
  • To promote the work of Cambridgeshire churches and Christian organisations in the media
  • To enable churches to develop and expand their use of media
  • To facilitate the production of faith-oriented media to the highest standard

  • To develop and further ecumenical links between churches in Cambridgeshire

Over the years we have produced original Christian material for broadcast on regional BBC Radio, and supported BBC Radio Cambridgeshire’s Sunday Breakfast programme, whilst in recent years we have run the Churches Advertising Network’s annual Christmas Radio Campaign on two local commercial radio stations. Our work has been nominated for an Andrew Cross Award and is available on AudioPot, the UK’s online library for creative Christian radio. In 2006 the Trust ran a Film Festival, a series of screenings of films with Christian themes at the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse, and in June 2007 the Trust worked with Spier Films to organise a screening of the new Dimpho Di Kopane film Son of Man in Ely Cathedral.

The CCMT is committed to continuing its work promoting the church through the media and equipping other Christians to do the same; this is only possible through the generous support of individuals and churches. If you would like further information about supporting the work of the CCMT, or getting involved, please contact us.
